After Care & Camp

Welcome to the After School Program and Summer Camp!

We are committed to ensuring that all of our programs are safe and engaging, and that our day and after school programs are aligned.

The School offers three after school options: the After School Program, ASP Enrichment Classes, and the After School Music Program. Your child may participate in any or all of these programs. Questions concerning ASP and ASP enrichment classes should be directed to Njonjo Smith at nsmith@chds.org. Any questions about the After School Music Program should be addressed to Debra MacLeod at dfmacleod@chds.org.

Children in ASP meet in four age-related groups, with two ASP Counselors assigned to each group. A supervised study hall is available for older children. The After School Program is affordable and flexible - available during Spring Break and on Teacher Work Days and Professional Development Days.

Enrichment classes are a lively element of the After School Program, and include Tae Kwon Do, Mad Science, yoga, soccer, Chess Wizards, Girls' Running Club, and Good Moves. The music program offers instrumental and vocal ensembles, as well as individual lessons.

Capitol Hill Day School Summer Camp offers seven one-week sessions, each with a variety of programs for children ages four to fourteen. All Summer Camp questions should be directed to Njonjo Smith at nsmith@chds.org.

Communication is important to us and responsiveness to your questions and concerns is a priority. The School's website is our primary communication tool. Please check it regularly for updates to schedules and announcements regarding special offerings.
