9:35 am
Location: Folger Theater, 210 East Capitol Street SE
You are invited to watch the seventh grade drama students express themselves in several scenes from Shakespeare that deal with the good, the bad, and the ugly in human nature. The 14 student actors will perform various scenes from Shakespeare's plays that examine the ways people behave with one another. The students have explored this issue in several plays: King Lear, As You Like It, The Taming of The Shrew, Much Ado About Nothing, Pericles, Richard the Third, The Winter's Tale, The Tempest, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Macbeth. There will be two performances: Tuesday, March 9 at 2:15 p.m. in the 4th floor loft at CHDS; and Wednesday, March 10 at 9:35 a.m. at The Folger's Elizabethan Theater, 210 East Capitol Street, SE, Washington, DC. Both events are free and open to parents. NOTE: 7th grade drama students will remain at the Folger until the program ends at 5:00 p.m.
