The School's newsletter, The Windowpane, is published on a semi-annual basis.

Windowpane Winter 2010 [PDF, 1527 KB]
The lead article describes how the School’s curricular underpinnings teach students to own their learning and work towards educational independence. The names of all 2008-2009 donors to the Annual Fund, Capital Campaign, and Annual Auction are listed as part of the School’s Annual Report. New staff and faculty are introduced; recent staff achievements are noted; and alums report on their latest milestones. An appreciation piece marks the retirement of Betsy Barnett, and a former teacher remembers Kathryn O’Donnell. Finally, there is a brief description of a Kindergarten field trip that ties together curriculum and alum families.

This issue describes the history of community service at CHDS, including parent and student service activities, and an alum profile of Tony Maruca; a profile of capital campaign co-chair Connie Tipton; updates about alumni, faculty, and staff; college plans for the Class of 2005; and photos of community service activities and Grandparents Day 2009.

This issue highlights the After School Program, names the newly-appointed co-chairs of the Making a Greater Dent capital campaign, reviews the 6th grade musical Oz!, and interviews new Head of School Martha Shepardson-Killam.
