2010-2011 Academic Year

The financial aid application process must be completed and the information received by Capitol Hill Day School by Friday, February 12, 2010.

1.      The financial aid process has changed for the 2010-2011 academic year.  All financial aid materials will be processed by the School and Student Service (SSS), National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).  We are no longer using the Educational Testing Service (ETS).

2.       The following information and documents must be submitted to SSS no later than Friday, February 12, 2010:

a.       Parents' Financial Statement (PFS).   Complete the PFS online at www.sss.nais.org.  The portal will open November 1, 2009. 

b.      A paper application is available from the Business Office.

c.       SSS Customer Service:   800-344-8328  and www.sss.nais.org

d.      Capitol Hill Day School Financial Aid Information:  202-386-9926

3.       The following must be submitted to SSS no later than Friday, February 12, 2010:

a.       Signed copies of your family's 2009 Federal tax return (1040) including all supporting schedules.

b.      2009 W-2's and/or 1099's.

Note that tax documents should be sent to SSS and not Capitol Hill Day School.  This is a change in the way the documents have been transmitted. 

The School will not review applications for financial aid unless all the information is at hand.  Late receipt of documents will jeopardize consideration for financial aid.
