Our library is a resource for students and teachers, and is a favorite place to visit. Classes through fifth grade meet weekly to hear stories that enhance curriculum and increase enjoyment of literature. Beginning in second grade, students learn increasingly sophisticated research skills in conjunction with their classroom assignments.
The library offers a number of resources. Students can discover new books to explore and can introduce other students to books. Summer reading lists are prepared by the School's librarian, Thea Koehler.
The library offers a Birthday Book program whereby members of the Capitol Hill Day School community can donate a book in honor of a child's birthday, a special occasion, or the memory of someone special.
