Jason Gray, Head of School
Jason has been a member of the Capitol Hill Day School faculty since 1994, and been Head of School since 2011. Throughout his tenure he's taught math, PE, driven school buses, been assistant Head of School, and more. His three children are all graduates of Capitol Hill Day School.


Kathryn Bauman-Hill, Early Childhood and Elementary Head
Kathryn has been the Head of Early Childhood and Elementary since 2021. Before joining the community, she spent nearly 30 years in teaching and leadership roles at independent schools.


Tom Sellevaag, Upper Grades Head & Outplacement Coordinator
Tom has been a steady presence at Capitol Hill Day School since 2007 as both a teacher and administrator. One of his children is a current Capitol Hill Day School student, the other graduated in 2025.


Leslie Sinsay, DEIB Director
With over 30 years of experience in independent schools, Leslie is a seasoned progressive educator. Since joining Capitol Hill Day School in 2016, she has served in both teaching and administrative roles and currently leads the School’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) work.
