Early Childhood Students Make "Gourd"geous Drawings

Student makes art with teacher

Last month, Early Childhood students made "gourd"geous observational drawings! Students worked from direct observation, looked closely at an assortment of gourds, and used their marks to translate the shapes and patterns they were seeing onto the page. In visual art classes at Capitol Hill Day School, creative expression is the goal as students draw, paint, sculpt, make 3D creations, practice digital arts, learn about famous artists, explore art and culture, and more.
